As the season becomes oh-so-jolly we thought we would give you three of our favourite bars to add to your list of places to visit in Paddington before the years end.
Laurent–Perrier Pop-Up Bar
To kick off the silly season French Champagne House Laurent–Perrier has launched a pop up bar at Jackie’s in Paddington. What better place to sample five different styles of the best French Champagne than the fashion precinct in Paddington. Indulge in a glass or a bottle depending on how festive you’re feeling, Wednesday – Friday evenings, 5-9pm,
The champagne menu includes:
- The Laurent-Perrier Grand Siècle
- The world-renowned Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé
- Laurent-Perrier Millésimé 2004
- The unique Laurent-Perrier Ultra Brut
- Laurent-Perrier Brut
The specially created food menu (because you cant do all that sampling on an empty stomach) features dishes like Salad of Duck Confit, with Figs, Hazelnuts and Endive, Chicken Liver Parfait with Nectarine and Brioche, Salad of Asparagus with Pear, St Agur and Croutons, and Oysters with Mignonette Dressing
10 William Street
If you prefer something a little more low key and you’re more inclined towards Italian, head to 10 William Street. This bar is one of our favourite hidden treasures in Paddington. Locals have been packing out this small bar since it was opened by the Fratelli Paradiso crew. Great wines and classic cocktails are what they do best here and the modern menu completes the package. This is the perfect place for that late night stop off for ‘just one more drink’.
The Wine Library
Another Paddington favourite where you’re guaranteed great service is the Wine Library. You may need to get in early to secure your space at the bar or step to the dining room at the rear to choose from an impressive menu. There’s a huge number of wines (over 350 in fact) and spirits on offer. The Wine Library has a casual yet sophisticated vibe – perfect for an intimate dinner or drink.
